Commonly Misused Words - Water Heater
Most people call a water heater a "Hot Water Heater." But it doesn't heat hot water! It heats cold water! It would be better to say "Cold Water Heater," wouldn't it? Saying "hot water heater" is like saying a "soft water softener" or a "peeled apple peeler."

Good point. Another one of these that I find weird? Tuna fish. Why add fish? Don't we know it's a fish? Is there tuna that isn't fish? Do we also say "walleye fish" or "carp fish"? "Catfish," yes, but for obvious reasons.
